These are the Core Rules of A Billion Suns: Second Edition. You always use these core rules, and then add the rules of the selected Era of Play to play a complete game.

The way you establish your fleets, the setup for the game, the number of rounds you play and the victory conditions can vary by Era, but the Core Rules remain the same for all.
